Renew of lease question. I used a real estate agent to find an apartment in Shanghai. Paid the 35% commission. I'm now looking to renew my lease. My agent says the rent will be increased by 10%. I agree. However, after a week, he also tells me that I have to pay a 35% buyer commission again because I'm entering into a new contract. So, if I realized that I have to pay a 35% comm ever year, I would never have used an agent. Is it normal in this situation to pay comm every year?
