What is the best restaurant in shanghai?

I"m not sure it is too broad a question. Everybody has that one place they think of for the moment.
Mine is Giovannis on top of the Sheraton in Hongqiao. Probably the best restaurant that nobody has heard of.

My vote for any/all would be Mr. Mrs Bund. But like i said, it's too broad of a question.

I agree with most of you, Mr. & Mrs. Bund is actually one of the best restaurant in China. Be sure to check it out !!!

Shanghai has a TON of outstanding restaurants. That being said, if Taco Bell ever opens it will immediately take the crown.

Yeah, way too difficult a question without narrowing it down a bit. I like Mr. And Mrs. Bund too - but I wouldn't argue against Sushi Oyama, Din Tai Fung, Jesse, Xindalou, Jing'An, Cha's or Lan Xin Can Ting.
@ The Fairietard - you mean "re-opens"? Taco Bell Grande was open here on Nanjing West Road for a number of years. It failed miserably - but then again, it really wasn't a Taco Bell. They made it like a real restaurant. Certainly not the 10 tacos for $4.99 places I miss.
