Best gym in Xuhui area? Would be great if it has a pool I'm open to paying a little more if the environment is good and it's got a mix of Chinese and foreigners.

-100 for physical -- they're dirty and overcrowded. There are many gyms in Xuhui, including Hollywood on huaihai, the Ambassy gym (wulumuqi/changle), Spartan in Xujiahui. Many hotels also sell memberships to their gym facilities.
The Ambassy is the only one I know for certain has a good pool.

Thank you Mark! Yeah,,,i read the "Stupid People at the Gym" thread on shanghaiexpat.com and vow not to go into Physical again. Anyone who needs a laugh should check out that thread.
